Fisher CZ-21 Quicksilver Underwater Metal Detector Review
By Gerald Smith
Proving ground with the Fisher CZ-21 Quicksilver
With the office having a family day at a private resort, complete with its own little beach, I could not resist the temptation to go an hour earlier and quickly scan the beach. Being confident that the beach would have a fair amount of pull tabs, bottle caps and the like, the weapon of choice was the 8” Fisher CZ-21 Quicksilver.
My assumption of trash on the beach was 100% correct, but there was a quick solution for this. The discrimination was turned up a notch and with the detector running silent, I proceeded to see what would turn up. With old and new coins making their appearance and working in a tight pattern, the CZ-21 suddenly gave a solid mid-tone. An anxious smile started to creep across my face…
The CZ-21 was quickly changed over into pinpoint mode to accurately determine where the treasure was buried. Digging commenced without delay and two scoops down, the mid-tone signal shifted position to the now dug out sand.
My nervous fingers sifted through the pile of sand until it suddenly clenched around my now biggest silver ring. YAHOO!!! Despite the amount of trash on the site, the Fisher Quicksilver once again did its’ name proud with this beauty.
